Shot on slide Film (Fuji Velvia 50) circa 2002 and with a non-digital SLR (Nikon F5), this is an all time favorite of mine. Many of us will be grilling today, having a beer and enjoying the company of friends and family. I know I will. But, beyond the fun, let’s take some time to remember those who gave us this holiday and who continue selflessly keeping us safe and free. Hope your 4th is filled with fun, sun, family and a cold beverage.
Had dinner tonight in Naperville at Tango. It’s a great Argentinian restaurant. Had some amazing tapas and noticed this street all lit up as if Christmas and the holiday season was still alive. For one night it was.
Every year I look for a better photo to post. An every year I end up posting the same photo. I took this years ago with my Nikon F5 and Fuji Velvia 50. While I’ve enjoyed shooting digital, I have to admit, when I see photos like this it makes me long for the warmth and contrast of slide film.
