Nice job Adam. You once again lasered in on the issue and ways to solve it. Yes it is knowing what you need and want to drive anything. These are the tools for execution. I think what I have seen is people do not take the time to figure out what they want to do and then when they come to execution they get paralyzed by the avenues presented to them. Understand you "hedgehog" concept and understand who you are what you want to deliver in your product and services then use these tools to execute.

Secondly, the fear I have is only pulling to suit your perspective. This could be dangerous. Seeking out only people to follow that share your views gives a slant one way. I challenage you to seek out opposite points of view and learn and understand, then agree or disagree but at that point you are well rounded. I can not take full credit for this last perspective this came from my wise and knowledgeable wife @tprivette . She often asks what side of the issue did I get my information. She keeps me in check to make sure I seek and listen to others. She is so wise.

This is a great post. I think we will see a shift as you suggest. I like the idea of thumbs up or down. We have a little bit of that with #followfriday and perhaps that is how we group ourselves in our own cliques. Then we can call each other coolest of the cool in our own Twitter group. Kinda like the cool nerd or the cool jock in high school. After all that is the sociology of Twitter in my opinion.
